As the Manufacturing Manager, CAR-T , you will:

  • Oversee production of a personalized cell therapy to support both clinical and commercial requirements in a sterile Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. This includes hiring, development and performance management of staff, assignment of personnel to execute daily production schedules, creating/revising operational procedures, supporting manufacturing investigations and ownership of various department projects.
  • You will be responsible for multiple work centers within the facility including tracking of production metrics and budgets while ensuring high quality and complaint product supply.
  • Ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements.
  • Communicate both within team and across departments.
  • Partner with all functions including Quality, Maintenance, Planning and Operations Support to ensure seamless execution of daily production schedules.
  • Manage completion of objectives and projects.
  • Support production related investigations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics and lead plant operating review meetings.
  • Maintain permanent inspection readiness and actively support regulatory inspections.
  • Create and revise manufacturing work instructions, master batch records, forms, among others.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and strong environmental, health, and safety performance.
  • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention.


Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a focus in Science or Engineering. Master’s or higher degree is preferred.
  • At least six (6) years of manufacturing experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment is required.
  • Experience working in a sterile biological/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Prior project management skills are preferred.
  • Experience with Operational Excellence or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written), strong communication skills and the ability to influence in all directions are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required.
  • Experience with MS Project and ERP systems is preferred.
  • Availability to work in a day shift (1st or 2nd shift) is required.
  • Ability to accommodate changes in the schedule including working in other shifts as per operational needs is required.
  • This position will be based in Raritan, NJ and requires up to ten percent (10%) of domestic travel.
