Job Summary

Spectrum Enterprise is seeking an accomplished Vertical Marketing Manager to develop and execute go-to-market strategy and tactical programs that will accelerate market penetration and revenue growth in the State, Local and Federal Government vertical segments. This requires a thorough understanding of the industry buyers, their behavior, and channels of communication to reach and influence them.

Responsibilities include but not limited to creation of Government marketing strategies; go to market plans, collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop integrated marketing programs for Spectrum Enterprise products and services. This role will partner with Spectrum Enterprise Field Marketing, National Events, Sales and Marketing to drive the planning and execution of vertical events, webinars, campaigns, content development and sales enablement activities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define, communicate and execute overall go-to-market strategy and tactical plan for the target vertical industries.
  • Work with thought leader organizations and vertical industry analysts to understand market dynamics, identify unique Government needs, and recommend Spectrum Enterprise solutions and services that help address customer challenges.
  • Work closely with Business Development Manager, Government on performing analysis and determination of total market potential and implementing marketing strategy to optimize short and long-range business performance within targeted vertical industries.
  • Conduct market surveys and provide analysis to guide product specifications in new product lines.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert during development of Government-specific external and internal content, value propositions, buyer persona messaging, and positioning statements for Spectrum Enterprise solutions and services.
  • Identifies and recommends the most effective marketing vehicles and channels for programs and activities, including success metrics to drive the S&L and Fed Government opportunity pipeline sourced from Marketing.
  • Supports vertical-specific marketing activities; tie activities to market success as measured by key metrics including overall growth, market penetration, positioning, market share and ROI.
  • Work closely with the Government Program Manager on developing and delivery of vertical industry trainings and sales enablement tools.
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, field and product marketing to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Excellent writing and communication skills; customer facing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; with an analytical research mindset.
  • Expertise in developing vertical messaging that connects customer business needs to technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in working within matrix organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative, results-driven environment.
  • Telecom industry experience is preferred
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree is preferred
Related Work Experience
  • 5 years Marketing with industry domain and technology experience
Working Conditions
  • Office environment
  • Approximately 15% travel required
