Franchise Development is core to all MasterCard business: we enable our business by licensing our customers, registering third parties, on-board other non-licensed companies in the payments ecosystem, and creating, modifying, and enforcing rules and standards that govern participation in the system.

To meet the needs of this dynamic and evolving ecosystem, this role is responsible for supporting the overall risk process and plan for Law & Franchise Integrity, and for ensuring alignment, progress and communication against all strategic initiatives.

Role
• Create and execute Law and Franchise Integrity risk and operational excellence plan, working in close partnership with the law, franchise, compliance and technology teams
• Drive strong risk governance via the Risk Radar, Dashboard and Register
• Define risk policy for new and emerging customer types; create solutions for the business that ensure easy adherence partnering closely with global products and solutions
• Support business partners in identifying key risks, as well as remediating issues and developing sustainable business controls
• Create, implement and manage processes and tools to mitigate risk to the MasterCard franchise, inclusive of identification of top risks to the business and conducting cross-functional workshops to creating mitigation plans and reporting them back to the business
• Bring new perspectives and external expertise to extend risk insight across the Company
• Be a liaison to Audit, Enterprise Risk and Compliance
• Communicate strategies, plans and progress to the business via presentations, discussions, scorecards, etc., including key LFI risks via dashboards
• Support department strategy, budget and progress against plans

• Experience in a risk function or Internal Audit at bank/financial services, building and implementing tools to manage risk effectively
• Ability to build and maintain strong, positive working relationships at all functional levels essential and effectively collaborate in a team environment
• Ability to drive for results and work independently in a self-directed manner while operating in a team environment, and navigating competing priorities—urgency, agility and flexibility are key
• Demonstrated creative and innovative problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
