Posting Job Description WB Games San Francisco seeks a Manager, Publishing Analytics to join our growing Mobile Publishing team. The Manager, Publishing Analytics will work with business intelligence, analytics, and publishing professionals to determine the best systems for managing an internal data warehouse that supports state-of-the-art analytics; the Publishing Analytics Manager must have an affinity for data and analytics that support key business decisions, and will work closely with the Mobile Games team, Central Product Managers, and other internal groups to evaluate how to drive sustained engagement and monetization. Specifically, the Manager, Publishing Analytics will be extremely detail oriented, with a strong product orientation, and an affinity for data and analytics in support of driving both product-level and business decisions.
The successful candidate thrives at delivering solutions to complex data problems preferably in gaming, and has proven themselves effective at navigating and overcoming both internal and external challenges. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Publishing Analytics, this role is crucial to attaining WB's aggressive goals in mobile games.

What part will you play? 
  • Own instrumentation of analytics, tracking hooks, and taxonomy during development phase; establish best practices for repeated application.
  • Manage 3rd party tool integration, manage analytics/integration projects across multiple teams.
  • Generate actionable reports and recommendations on features that will improve retention, monetization, and acquisition of gamers.
  • Suggest and analyze the effectiveness of A/B tests.
  • Share insights with executive leadership and game teams regularly.
  • Create cogent reports that are simultaneously data-rich and easily digested.
  • Document analysis/code/scripts.
What do we require from you?
  • MA/MS Degree in Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data and analytics-intensive role. Mobile, social, or online games experience a plus.
  • Deep familiarity with iOS, Android, or Facebook games marketplaces, design trends and analytics best practices.
  • Experience writing queries and using software tools to put together reports and analysis to drive key business decision-making.
  • Ability to promote analytics across the organization and lead teams to using analytics insights to drive decisions.
  • Proven ability to conceive and test hypotheses based on inconclusive or incomplete data from unstructured data and creating structures that lend themselves to analysis.
  • Comfortable presenting complicated material to diverse audiences; strong ‘soft skills’.
  • Experience with using Tableau or Looker.
  • 2 years of experience with using R or Python for statistical analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines and locations to achieve results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and prioritize work to meet specific deadlines required.
  • Flexibility to travel to Warner Bros. studios, or attend industry conferences as required.
