Posting Job Description What part will you play?

We are currently seeking a Manager, Production Planning for the Production Planning department. This position will manage and coordinate the process for Television Productions to access the numerous divergent Worldwide Tax Incentives offered by domestic and foreign territories, states, provinces and federal governments and exploit as many tax credit/rebate opportunities as possible. Specifically, the responsibilities will include the following:
  • Coordinating with Physical Production Finance staff and production accountants to maintain integrity of the tax incentives.
  • Preparing, analyzing and reviewing preliminary as well as final incentive applications/calculations.
  • Reviewing and auditing detailed production costs for coding accuracy.
  • Ensuring all WB internal and divisional policies are implemented and maintained; communicating policies and procedures to appropriate parties as necessary.
  • Coordinating with state agencies and third-party CPAs on tax incentive audits.
  • Maintaining and updating internal incentive tracking software, work closely with finance, tax and legal to gather, discuss and share information.
  • Preparing detailed tax incentive analysis and makes recommendations based on findings.
What do we require from you?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field. 
  • 4-5 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to research, translate and comprehend information related to feature film contracts and unions, both internationally and domestically.
Bonus points for:
  • Familiarity with Movie Magic, PSL, and VISTA systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience in production accounting. 
  • Experience and knowledge of production tax incentives (both domestic and foreign).
