Manager, Marketing Campaign Management

About the position

The Manager, Campaign Management oversees all Marketing Campaigns and assures that they are deployed effectively and on time. From list creation to testing to execution and reporting, this role manages a team of Campaign and Email specialists. In addition, this person will manage a team of four in charge of segmenting lists and deploying emails. This position will play an active role in supporting the management and oversight of digital marketing executions and will provide critical campaign intelligence to internal stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class digital solutions. This role will manage all aspects of client campaign execution: from requirements, planning, design and strategy through launch, updates, optimizations and program renewal recommendations. This individual will have in depth knowledge of email delivery platform(s) and will be able to maximize user experience by taking full advantage of templates, campaign canvas, event management, salesforce lead integration, pre-built segmentation, trigger based distributions, etc., to maximize user experience, campaign effectiveness, and time to market.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the design, development, and execution of Eloqua workflows
  • Apply standard campaign methodology and best practices
  • Conduct ongoing A/B testing to improve email performance related to subject lines, email copy, and call-to-actions
  • Collaborate with Retirement and IT to implement capabilities that enable faster, more efficient, and more accurate execution of campaign targeting efforts
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to execute all contextual and data enabled Marketing campaigns, ensuring high quality and on time delivery to maximize revenue and client satisfaction
  • Partner with the Reporting and Analytics team to execute, test and validate lifecycle and audience segmentation theories and methodologies, measure campaign performance and course correct as execution unfolds, and to assure that source data is fed to the delivery tool as needed
  • Work to implement process changes to support automation initiatives
  • Act as mentor regarding questions on campaign priorities, responsibilities, resources, and timing
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to the client and Campaign Management Team, developing and maintaining synergistic relationships
  • Oversight of segmentation via the marketing database for greater campaign efficiency and effectiveness
  • Implement lead scoring practices to enable higher conversion of quality leads
  • Work with operations team to identify opportunities within the marketing/sales funnel to systematically improve quality, velocity, and conversion rates
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience required in a related position within marketing
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • Fluency in marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign, IBM Unica, Eloqua
  • Understand B2B and B2C marketing and lead management
  • Experience driving forward Omni-channel CRM strategy is a plus
  • Understanding of how aspects of a marketing program impact email deliverability (i.e., opt-ins, message content, design, delivery, list management, etc.)
  • Knowledge of best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies
  • Ability to foster and build relationships across multiple departments and locations
