As a Laboratory Operations Manager at Nielsen Consumer Neuroscience, you will be responsible for the
management and quality assurance of the NeuroLab infrastructure and operations on a day-to- day basis. You will
supervise, lead and direct a team of cross-functional employees in all areas of lab operations and study data
collection. You will be the end to end process owner and will partner with senior client service and science leaders
in study execution.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing a team running a physiology lab employing electrophysiological, eye movements, and peripheral biometrics to analyze marketing material.
  • Manage the execution of 10-30 active studies through all stage gates. Consistently balance the macro NeuroLab operations and deliver best in class NeuroLab value through high quality execution
  • Proactively control changes in study scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans of action. React to study adjustments promptly and efficiently. Resolve any client issues quickly and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Responsible for daily and weekly schedule of studies, equipment and lab personnel. Communicate study expectations, needs, objectives and next steps to all stakeholders in a timely & clear fashion.
  • Interact with client business leaders and other domestic and international NeuroLab teams for study execution
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standards for participant recruiting and data acquisition processes
  • Responsible for capturing and reporting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Drive business process improvement efforts and look for ways to optimize efficiency across the operating unit
  • Collaborates with Science leads regarding protocol design and experiment designs.
  • Provide regular status reports on lab financials and output.

 

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

  • Project/Program Management experience required
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Operations management experience of 1-3 years
  • Prior client-facing/consulting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Science background/experience is a plus
  • Project Management certification/training is a plus
  • Experience with market research is a plus
  • Flexibility in dynamic environments
