The Manager, Integrated Insights & Analytics position is responsible for managing secondary market research, forecasting and analytics within the Global Business Insights (GBI) Center of Excellence (COE) team, in support of the North America team within the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies.  Position will serve as a representative on the Integrated Analytics and Competitive Intelligence team, serving as a key partner to cross functional teams within Global Business Insights.  Role will work with multiple GBI Regional and Platform teams to lead creation of best in class practices and process for globally consolidating markets, share, procedures and global trends.  The role will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding.  Position must be able to coach and support analytical learning and insight needs across the business.  Other key stakeholders include other Global Business Insights Business Unit teams, J&J Investor Relations, Strategic Planning and New Business Development and Finance organizations.  Position will have responsibility for managing, prioritizing, and executing strategic and tactical marketplace insight projects and activities.


The Manager, Integrated Insights & Analytics will:

  • Lead foundational projects across primary and secondary market research, forecasting, competitive intelligence, macro trends, sales and market analytics, and Strategic Planning
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage, create, influence and execute high-impact tactical and strategic marketplace understanding and learning plans, including secondary research and strategic and tactical forecasting
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure a high-level of team involvement in key business discussions
  • Create strategic analytics, forecasting and competitive Insights capability among Medical Device Regional and Franchise teams
  • Lead education and dissemination of existing competitive knowledge estate and market information for key business partners
  • Ensure integration of key Competitive Insights and analytical tools, techniques and process into Business Unit knowledge estate
  • Support GBI Team in
    • Flawless execution of all projects and activities required to drive success of the business
    • Proactively providing fact-based insights and analytics programs to address specific business needs
    • Implementing new innovative insights and business analytics tools, techniques and processes
    • Developing and implementing new innovative business analytics tools and techniques, standards and processes and implementing these across the GBI Team
  • Support education and dissemination of existing knowledge estate and market information for key Platform cross-functional partners
  • Support GBI Leadership team in data integration to form the Platform Knowledge Estate
  • Partner with the GBI team to create and maintain best-in-class analytical and marketplace assessment practices


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field.  MBA or MS is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in secondary market research, forecasting, strategic insights, market research, business analytics, strategic forecasting, finance or a related field is required
  • Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred, but not required
  • Proven track record of performance that demonstrates both strong personal and team leadership
  • Proven track record of managing in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration and influence is needed
  • Excellent proven personal leadership, collaboration, communication and analytical skills are required
  • Ability to lead support cross-functional teams (with strong influencing skills) is required
  • Ability to understand, translate and integrate marketplace data and secondary data tools into actionable insights to drive decision-making is required
  • Working knowledge of and experience with secondary market research, primary market research, and forecasting is required.  Some knowledge of competitive intelligence data is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in creative problem solving and team partnership is required
  • Due to the nature of the information reviewed in the role, candidate must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion is required
  • Ability to begin to synthesize disparate data sources to provide an integrated insight view of the business is preferred
  • Experience in Commercial Businesses preferred, but not required 
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills are required
  • Strong project management skills in a deadline-oriented environment are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, & Tableau are required
  • Prior experience using analytical tools (R, SPSS, or SAS) are preferred

This role is based in Somerville, NJ and will require up to 10% domestic travel.
