Entertainment and Time Warner.  DC Entertainment works in concert with key Warner Bros. divisions to unleash its stories and characters across all media, including but not limited to film, television, consumer products, home entertainment and interactive games. DC Global Franchise Management is charged to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities across the company in focal areas such as content, distribution, branding and marketing, in order to achieve long-term financial goals.
 
 
What part will you play?



DC Entertainment seeks a Manager, Global Franchise Management for the Global Franchise Management department. The Manager, Global Franchise Management is responsible for collaborating with WB divisions to build the DC brand and franchises, and manage the day-to-day execution as well as approvals of key franchise initiatives. The manager provides support in developing franchise strategy and priorities, and serves as a key DC contact across WB and within DCE. This role provides creative franchise solutions across multiple lines of business including but not limited to WB Pictures, WB Television, Warner Home Entertainment and International divisions.
  • Manages key initiatives, projects and analysis to support studio and franchise priorities. Examples include but are not limited to:
    • Leveraging research, data and competitive information to help inform Franchise Planning
    • Overseeing cross-divisional initiatives and process (e.g. manage projects that may include planning, leading task forces, overseeing asset development, measuring performance)
  • Develops and maintains franchise management tools and materials including :
    • Franchise Calendars – manage online calendar tool, ranging from functionality in partnership with WB Technology to content updates
    • Franchise Dashboard – manage dashboard tool to track health of DC brand and franchises
    • Presentations – create and maintain brand and franchise presentations for DCE, including sizzles and keynote/presentations
    • Character Tool Kits – support development of character biographies and assets for divisional partners
  • Supports cross-divisional communication to collaborate on DCE franchise priorities, activations and programs studio-wide.
  • Brand assurance and guidelines across key company projects.
  • Executes additional Franchise Management projects and duties as assigned.
 
What do we require from you?
 
  • 4-year college degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years brand marketing experience required.
  • Experience with consumer research and analysis required.
  • Experience with a movie studio and/or entertainment field preferred.
  • Proven track-record of managing workflow to meet tight deadlines while handling high volume of work. Attention to detail a must.
  • Affinity and knowledge of comics and the superhero/action genre across all media a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 10%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel, PowerPoint
  • Photoshop and Keynote skills a plus.
