Position Overview

Nielsen’s Digital tools provide the metrics that guide brand marketers and their agencies in effectively optimizing their in-flight campaigns, plan upcoming campaigns and generate guarantees on future campaigns. As Nielsen Digital Manager/Director of Business Development you would go to market with the gold standard of digital measurement. Nielsen’s Digital reach and resonance tools give advertisers the confidence that what they’re doing in the digital space is comparable to other media forms and is effective.

 

Key Responsibilities

Nielsen is seeking a talented and experienced sales and marketing professional to sell Nielsen’s digital advertising solutions to media agencies.  This person will contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth for existing business and generating new business opportunities. They will be expected to exceed revenue targets and grow the presence of Nielsen’s Digital Ad Ratings, Total Ad Ratings, Digital Brand Effect, Mobile Brand Effect, Total Brand Effect, Digital Content Ratings, Data as a Service, and other related products at agencies assigned to them.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience with proven track record of exceeding revenue and market share goals
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience; understands the digital media space—planning/buying/selling digital product or services. Sample relevant companies:
    • Agencies: Carat, OMD, Universal McCann, Mediavest, Digitas, Initiative
    • Media Publishers: Yahoo, Collective Media, AOL, Tribal Fusion, Casale, Fox, IAC
    • Ad Research: Dynamic Logic, Insight Express, Nielsen Factor TG, Comscore
    • Ad Serving: Double Click, 24/7 Real Media, AOL / Platform A, Right Media, etc.
    • Software as a Service (SaaS): Salesforce.com, Success Factors, Google, Digital Ad
  • Experience or familiarity with market research
  • Talented client relationship builder with outstanding agency contacts
  • College degree required
