Studio Facilities (WBSF) oversees the physical operations of the historic 110-acre main lot in Burbank including its 30 soundstages and 20-acre backlot, as well as production-related services including costume, set-dressing, construction, set lighting, catering, transportation, photography and much more. The production site also hosts tours for consumers offering guests intimate views at the inner workings of thriving entertainment studios. Posting Job Description What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Studio Facilities seeks a Manager for the Costume department. In this role, the Manager will be responsible for providing oversight of the day to day operation of the Costume department and acts as initial point of contact for the 3 businesses.  Provides supervision to employees in the department, responsible for scheduling, approving payroll, budget reporting, P&L’s, inventory control.  Establishes and ensures customer service standards for the department are met, acts as liaison with WBTV and WB Features divisions.  
  • Provides daily supervision and guidance for Costume department employees.  Establish role definition and training for all employees; review performance and direct as needed; approve weekly time and attendance for team; maintains a solid working knowledge of the labor agreements and assists with disciplinary issues and conflicts in coordination with Department head, Labor Relations and Human Resources.
  • Responsible for the assignment and supervision of personnel within all businesses under the Costume department, makes hiring recommendations.
  • Oversees budget reporting, account set-up billing, rentals, inventory levels. Responsible for managing the financial controls and performance of the Department, including: review and approve daily revenue and expenses. Handle the discussions related to the weekly and monthly financial reporting of the Department’s financial performance.
  • Establish excellent customer service standards for the department, monitors and directs service levels to achieve and maintain the highest level of performance. Acts to resolve any issues that may arise.
  •  Entertain new and established customers, foster new customer business and investigate new ways to increase revenue. Keep current with our industry’s trends and news. Contributes to department’s Advertising, Marketing and Social Media campaigns.
What do we require from you?
  • College Graduate preferred.
  • Knowledge of history of costume and or fashion.
  • Knowledge of Retail Management Principals and/or Experience.
  • Experience hiring and managing union employees, including evaluating work performance, counseling, coaching and terminations strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a budget, payroll, and other departmental expenditures is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with RTPRO , helpful.
  • 3-5 years Management experience in a Clothing related environment - Retail, Design, Theatrical, Rental House, Production or Manufacture.
  • Strong computer skills; Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook required; knowledge of other PC based applications preferred.
  • Solid retail analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and personnel.
  • Must be proactive and capable of assuming additional responsibility as necessary.
