Our Media Analytics team brings together industry thought leaders, expert consultants, and analysts to address the most important issues in Video, Audio, and Text Media today. We work closely with our clients to help them make strategic and tactical business decisions.


The Manager, Client Consulting, will consult with clients to provide media targeting, cross-platform measurement solutions, and insights that address client business questions. The primary client base is the Nielsen Entertainment team focusing on Sports and Music clients. For a specific engagement, the Manager will identify relevant solutions to meet client’s needs, and work with relevant business partners on proposals and business development. In addition, the Manager will oversee the delivery of services to clients, and ensure they receive maximum value from deliverables.


The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated track record in: driving commercial, solutions-oriented growth, building and honing key relationships both internally and externally, delivering robust presentations and client communications, adapting to the needs of a dynamic, ever-changing environment, and developing key contacts in the media industry.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership within the client vertical/team to develop a comprehensive and achievable strategic plan for the business within a client account.
  • Contribute to and maintain a $1.5M-$2M revenue pipeline.
  • Build trust-based relationships with Client Service and Nielsen clients; strive to independently build deeper and wider relationships within and across client organization by building a comprehensive understanding of client and marketplace and leveraging prior experience and client service acumen.
  • Present opportunities to help clients grow our business through consultative selling and solid negotiating skills; grow revenue through sales of incremental products within an established account.
  • Act as an internal champion for the client by working collaboratively with internal partners and the team to coordinate efforts for clients where appropriate: case resolution management, usage reporting, contract renewals and amendments, and other support tasks.
  • Articulate an excellent understanding of each product and solution, and how the data can be used to improve business performance.
  • Independently create and deliver  unique client presentations; skilled at leading verbal client presentations and responding to most questions, has a strong presence that inspires confidence & credibility
  • Prospect to identify the most valuable leads and be proactive in anticipating client needs
  • Serve as a mentor and guide Research Analyst support team to drive increasing value to client proposals and deliverables.
  • Engage in other responsibilities as needed.



  • 4-6 years in media or marketing research, for research provider, internet company, agency, other media company
  • Bachelors Degree
  • In-depth industry knowledge; Deep understanding of Nielsen data-usage and methodology.
  • Strong analytic aptitude with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Detailed knowledge of traditional media and new media required, as well as advertising sales research, media planning or marketing strategy development
  • Ability to grasp new concepts easily, and be able to present them in a simplified manner to clients and potential prospects
  • Proven experience collaborating with a wide range of internal and external clients.
