As a Manager, Beneficiary Services Operations, you’re responsible for establishing a vision and driving a team of talented associates toward providing an exceptional experience to Prudential’s beneficiaries. This position will report into the Director of Operational Effectiveness for the newly created Centralized Beneficiary Services Division within Prudential. Together an environment that fosters and is conducive to obtaining exceptional results will be built. This position can be located in our Dresher, PA or Jacksonville, FL locations. Responsibilities:
  • Directs the activities and personnel of the Claims area to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims and to ensure the investigations and or settlements are handled fairly and economically.
  • Directs the method to be taken with clients in the settlement of claims.
  • Approves all responses to state insurance department inquiries that are prepared by subordinates.
  • Ensures compliance with various state and federal regulations. Serves as a consultant to other areas regarding the enhancement to, or design of, applications for new products for which the Claims area would be responsible.
  • Leads the process analysis, design or redesign of multiple, integrated systems work flows and processes to ensure that processes are customer focused, consistent, effective and efficient.
  • Identify, implement and or integrate technologies needed to automate the new process.
  • Responsible for the implementation and training planning across multiple sites and documentation of processes.
  • Able to develop a cohesive set of solutions in complex, unstructured environments.
  • Manages large projects and activities of multiple project teams which may include staff from other organizations and processes.
  • Possesses broad knowledge of specific function process.
  • May be responsible for systems, business and or process functions.
  • Must maintain strong personal expertise in the technology systems which support the process.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or significant related experience preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of management leadership experience is required; experience within Insurance or financial services industry is preferred
  • Effective leadership and analytical skills including working knowledge of staffing models and capacity planning
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to enhance efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute business strategies to meet short and long-term goals
  • Strong talent management focus with an emphasis on developing internal talent and managing results-oriented recruiting and training programs
  • Proven ability to engage, motivate and energize team members
  • Keen sense of urgency and the ability to address conflicts and provide immediate resolution, including the identification of technical and/or process improvement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization
  • Effective ability to work with various sites; strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility in hours
  • Some travel required
