Lead Product Marketing Mgr

Overall Purpose:

Provide ongoing support for Global Public Sector
requirements from a holistic and cross-product perspective. Help ensure that
decision making supports new products being developed will meet Public Sector
requirements upfront. The scope of responsibility includes new and emerging
products, technologies or applications as well as evaluating existing products
to determine additional enhancements needed in order to sell to Federal, State
and Local agencies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Project manage implementation of all Product Modifications
    (from quote to cash) required to support Public Sector such as the transition
    from Networx to EIS.
  • Ensure new product development initiatives fully evaluate
    GPS requirements and establish business case and/or justification for inclusion
    or exclusion of required features.
  • Develops business plans and product
    positioning in the marketplace.
  • Typically viewed as product owner throughout
    the life cycle.
  • Conducts multi-year product planning to determine product
    life-cycle decisions, ensure consistency with overall marketing and corporate
    strategy, and achieve product performance, revenue, market share/penetration,
    and profitability objectives. Identifies, monitors and analyzes internal (e.g.
    financials, movement, revenue, cost, sales) and external (e.g., technology,
    market share, competitive) performance parameters in order to position, modify
    features and identify new uses for the product.
  • Provides continuing product
    surveillance and management of established product to attain financial
  • Accountable for revenue attainment and profitability.
  • Provides
    readout to leadership level regarding products and plans as assigned.
  • Work with
    Product managers to drive overall awareness of Federal regulations,
    requirements and or changes impacting product/delivery (Training and
  • Supports the contract modifications process to add new
    services and equipment (when applicable) to various government contracts.
  • Specifically, provides critical input in authoring the management &
    technical volumes of the contracts.
  • Supports GPS bid response for large
    contracts like NS2020 EIS, etc.

Education:Prefer a bachelors degree.
Typically this position is considered the foremost expert within the
product marketing discipline and an acknowledged authority within the
Supervisory: No.

Required Qualifications:

- Experience with public sector regulations and requirements

- Five years product management experience

- Must be comfortable with conveying the value of new and
emerging products, technologies or applications to senior level management and
across a diverse product team

- Product launch and lifecycle management experience

- Previous experience leading a cross-functional
organization in executing projects from ideation to completion

- Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and
operate in a fast-paced, high-growth professional environment

- Must possess both outstanding written and oral
communication skills

- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products
including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.

Desired Qualifications:

- Product management experience within high tech, software
and/or wireless/telecom industry highly preferred.
