The Front Office IT - Performance team is responsible for supporting the Investment Performance Calculation and Reporting Applications within Nuveen.The role requires business knowledge of investment performance measurement & reporting processes and technical knowledge of the Eagle Application Stack and Oracle SQL/ PLSQL. The role is responsible for supporting and expanding the GIPS reporting solution, collaborating across business and IT leaders to understand business and functional requirements, developing realization plans and IT/process artifacts and executing the plan in alignment with established architectures.


  • Primary responsibility of the role will be to deliver and maintain GIPS reporting solution.
  • Review and document current business and IT processes for GIPS reporting across various affiliates
  • Create functional requirements for automating manual processes and to improve existing processes
  • Work with the development team to manage the complete SDLC
  • Work with the business teams to document use- cases, create test plan, perform integration testing and manage user acceptance testingReview and understand all performance calculation and reporting processes across various affiliates and be able to provide support to these processes.
  • Understand the different calculation models, inputs to calculations, benchmark data usage, composite construction process, disclosure maintenance process and performance data distribution processes
  • Review all business and technical requirements, design, and testing information to ensure quality output that meets stated business needs.
  • Contribute to determining the budget needs for the project, then deliver and manage to assigned budget.
  • Stay current with relevant technologies and performance reporting standards.
  • Identify and escalate risks that could impact ability to deliver results within the stated objectives
  • Performs application and technical problem solving including advice, guidance and mentoring to users.
  • Ability to lead multi-deliverable technical efforts.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Investment Performance concepts, practices and procedures
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with Eagle PACE Application stack (Eagle Performance, Eagle Reporting, Eagle Data mart)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with investment performance return calculation and reporting processes, with focus on GIPS reporting
  • Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and BI reporting concepts
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), JIRA, HP-Quality Center
  • Experience with Eagle STAR accounting platform
  • Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be detailed oriented and extremely organized
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • CFA or CIPM certifications is plus
