IT Process Infrastructure Manager

About the position

Prudential Financial, Global Business and Technology Solutions, is pursuing a qualified Information Technology Generalist to assist with the build of business solutions that align with the enterprise IT Service Management strategy. Responsible for executing daily activities in their process area, Continuous Service Improvement, and Service Level Management as defined by the process manager. The Associate must understand and comply with the process procedures, assist other members of the IT organization in complying with these procedures. Provides improvement recommendations to their respective processes. The position is a key role for implementing modern business solutions. Responsibilities:
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Assists with department budget and tracking expenses.
  • Assists with presentation creation and delivery of trends and directions to department management.
  • Implement solutions following established IT Service Management policies and standards.
  • Document problems and their resolution.
  • Assists in the development of technology evaluation and selection criteria and the actions required to implement new technology.
  • Assists in the analysis of firm wide business area requirements needed to support business objectives and the evaluation of the technological environment.
  • Assists in the analysis and recommendation of new or different technologies which will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goals.
  • Working with both immediate department and other enterprise support groups to assist in resolving longer term issues with infrastructure components.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Prudential business partners and to assist with the collection or business requirements.
  • Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Participates in the development, specification and communication of the firm’s technology architecture plan and the infrastructure components required to support it.
  • Provide Project Management for the development, maintenance and validation of systems, processes, procedures, and documentation for this mission critical environment.
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant recent business experience.
  • Strong desire to learn and work with multiple applications, tools and technologies with minimal guidance and assistance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to review functional requirements and recommend a solution based on the business needs.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology and/or integrating with diverse application systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including team collaboration, leadership, presentation, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). The position will require constant interaction with business partners, management, and systems technologists, and international business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills, resourcefulness and attention to detail, along with the drive for excellence.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution.
  • Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously.
