We are presently recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Manager, International Benefits.  This position offers great benefits, exciting challenges, as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in your career.  This position will support the International Benefits Community of Expertise for benefits strategy, processes and practices. This position will have responsibility for performing analyses and providing technical advice to Regional Total Rewards leaders in support of the development of global policies and solutions to benefit programs, funding, etc.  This position will interact with Colgate Business Services (CBS) and outside vendors to ensure processes and knowledge transfer supports the successful administration of benefits.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):

  • Implement global benefits strategy and manage global benefit programs (e.g., Global Insurance Brokerage, Multinational Pooling, Global Stock Savings Program, Retirement and Welfare Plans, etc.) Support the Total Rewards Regional Leaders in the delivery of benefits programs to the business.
  • Support the design of global benefit programs and the development of global policies and guidelines related to benefits programs working with Total Rewards Regional Leaders.
  • Identify and manage the selection of global vendors; participate in and/or manage vendor negotiations and contract development.
  • Partner with Regions in the design of benefit and wellness policies and programs, provide consultation on complex issues, especially in the retirement arena.
  • Recommend technology solutions for benefit programs.
  • Use predictive analytics to assess impact, provide insights that drive benefits value and design considerations.
  • Perform competitive and cost analyses (qualitative and quantitative), model plan design scenarios, and conduct relevant statistical analyses for Total Rewards Regional Leaders in support of plan design and decision making.
  • Evaluate plan design in accordance with market practice, benchmarking data, financial considerations, cost projects and the employee value proposition.
  • Maintain working knowledge of various government requirements, programs and mandates and can analyze impact on design and administration.
  • Review and analyze actuarial valuations of international pension plans.
  • Manage special projects as needed, partnering with Regions and Corporate Legal, Finance, Treasury, Procurement and IT.
  • Develope and maintain technical expertise in strategic benefit areas leveraging this knowledge for design, and trains others in methodologies, processes and practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of communication materials for executives and Business HR to ensure awareness of relevant and updated Benefits policy.
  • Assist in driving efficiencies through transferring administrative and transactional work to CBS or outside vendors.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in Human Resource Management or other related field
  • 10+ years of employee benefits experience which includes 5+ years international benefits experience
  • Experience in the development and implementation of global benefit programs and strategies
  • Expert knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Office functionality


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Society of Actuaries SOA certification
  • CEBS certification
  • Experience in defined benefit retirement plans
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in Consumer Goods Industry
