IBM Watson Financial Services Solutions help global top-tier Financial Services clients solve their most complex business and financial risk issues. As the Senior Offering Manager for Insurance Fraud in the Financial Crimes Insight Solutions you will play a key role within the exciting Financial Crimes Insight Solutions business. The Financial Crimes Senior Offering Manager for Insurance will lead the Offering development and client engagement requirements for IBM Insurance Fraud software solutions. Must have Industry experience in the Insurance industry as either a software provider to Insurance or a customer of software providers in the Industry. Responsible for the leading the cross functional team to create and manage the Watson FSS offerings for Insurance, determine revenue model for the offering, set the detailed direction and resource envelope needed and establish priorities across disciplines. Act as the business owner for the offering, with accountability for success in targeted markets. Determine the cross-discipline offering strategy and resource allocation requirements within the market space. Chairs the Insurance Integrated Solution Team.

The Watson Financial Services Offering Manager must have an understanding of the Financial Services Industry and experience in Insurance fraud. The candidate will leverage that industry understanding, along with client interactions, to enhance the Insurance Fraud offerings that will help to drive growth of IBM’s overall revenue. The individual should have a blend of business and technical savvy. In addition, they should have the ability to communicate, help drive collaboration across multiple parts of IBM and gaining support from key stakeholders will be critical in this role.

The scope of work will involve rapidly iterating to explore and develop viable new product offerings by applying thought leadership to approach the problems in a way that differentiates from established competitors, distilling and detailing product requirements, leading interactions with designers/developers to translate product requirements into development plans, creating product marketing/sales enablement raw materials, and enabling sales/delivery of new offerings in the field.

Industry Experience with Insurance companies in their fraud operations OR Industry Experience as a software offering manager for tier 1 Software company that provides software offerings to Insurance Companies is highly desired.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Distill requirements for all aspects of the system (data, detection, investigation, link analysis, reporting)
  • Detail stories for use by the development team
  • Work with designers, developers, and architects to ensure requirements are delivered and tested in line with expectations
  • Create the raw material for product marketing and sales enablement to explain what we are doing, how it works, and why it is valuable to customers
  • Provide ongoing technical and or operational guidance to multiple teams collaborating on the delivery of the solution offering.
  • Manage the product lifecycle for multiple use cases

  • Able to provide thought leadership for business and product management decisions, influencing others on the market and client needs driving product requirements and product innovation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in working in or consulting to these industries
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management
  • 5+ years of experience in software solutions

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Demonstrated work experience with on-site off-shore models, with off-shore teams
  • Specific knowledge and experience of Financial Services solutions in Insurance
  • Working and applied knowledge of current Project Management and Agile Project Management methodologies
  • Demonstrated client management and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work closely with Process Owners and other key stakeholders to communicate progress
