HR Time and Attendance Specialist (1703181) – Florham Park, NJ Where the Chemistry Happens We have a great opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Services Specialist to join our team. The myHR Service Center is the face of Corporate HR Services to all Employees, Managers, and the HR team in North America. As a single point of contact, we aim to provide accurate answers, consistent and professional service, and timely resolution to HR and pay-related inquiries and issues. We are seeking a professional like you to manage payroll time and attendance for approximately 7,000 nonexempt employees in the United States and Canada to ensure the time collected is accurately paid in accordance with BASF common pay rules, site rules, or negotiated union contracts. You will provide front line support as part of myHR service center team to answer employee or supervisor payroll time-related questions. You will also be responsible for managing quality time and attendance controls for the region to prevent time entry errors, ensure accuracy, and improve the end-user experience. Formula for Success
  • Leveraging your educational background (preferably with a American Payroll Association or Fundamental Payroll Certification) and/or equivalent work experience, you will serve as a subject matter expert with respect to questions employees may have on their paychecks including, but not limited to, rates of pay, overtime rules, and holiday pay. Scope of work may include review of programmed pay rules and union contracts.
  • Successfully engaging across the business, you will collaborate with cross-functional HR teams to develop ideas and use technology to streamline and improve current processes. In addition, you will assist with implementing payroll processes for merger and acquisition activities, as well as with parallel testing of system compliance upgrades.
  • As a trusted information resource, you will promptly and completely answer employee questions surrounding approval/disapproval of time, and determine and communicate reasons why time was not approved.
  • Your ability to share knowledge will be a valued asset as you will facilitate monthly webinars for new employees, as well as conduct refresher training for existing employees or sites that need additional guidance on time-related issues.
  • Your willingness to provide assistance to colleagues and business partners will be essential as you will help employees and business timekeepers with temporary and permanent shift changes as they manage their business needs.
