OVERALL SUMMARY

HBO Media Technology and Information Systems (MTIS) is looking for a dynamic Project Manager specializing in the delivery of data driven marketing strategy, technology and operations initiatives. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and analytical skills and be able to clearly present problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical teams. The candidate will work closely with Marketing stakeholders and MTIS team members to develop use cases, estimate implementation LOE’s, articulate and update project timelines and successfully deliver initiatives related to the consumer marketing program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Marketing team to define program roadmap and implement the MarTech Architecture.

  • Project manage technical projects from start to finish (i.e. define project backlog, run project sprint cycles, provide regular status reports and surface project risks appropriately.)

  • Support the end to end delivery of data in required by Digital Marketing Campaigns.

  • Support data discovery and experimentation across multiple consumer and asset dimensions.

  • Analyze the MarTech marketplace and identify best in class tools and vendors that align with HBO’s strategic goals.

  • Manage efforts for the linking of disparate data sources across common dimensions.

  • Address data security and privacy concerns.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a marketing technology organization.

  • 2+ years experience with marketing automation tools, email service platforms and mobile messaging tools.

  • 2+ years experience with cloud based environments such as AWS.

  • 2+ years with distributed compute architectures such as EMR and Hadoop.

  • 2+ years experience with paid media tools such as facebook, google and data management platforms.

  • 2+ years experience with modern databases included RedShift, NoSql such as Dynamo, postgreSql.

  • 2+ years experience with visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, DataWrapper, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical terminology to business specifications.

  • Ability to set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion when working with other team members.

  • Command of various types of Marketing Technologies such as Customer Relationship Management, Marketing Automation, Email Service Platforms, Content Management Systems and Marketing Relationship Management.

  • Strong Agile Scrum management skills with a focus on the product owner and scrum master roles.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to partner with the business to define and document their current and future system needs.

  • Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements through use cases and other means (including workflow diagrams, dataflow diagrams, screen wireframes, UML, etc.)

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think outside-of-the-box when assessing possible solutions.

  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint as well as cloud-based productivity tools (Google Apps in particular).

  • Experience working with offsite team members in all aspects of system delivery including development and testing.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience.
