Full Time Posting Job Description OVERALL SUMMARY

This position will assist the events team leadership on the development and production of a variety of events.

  • Assist the events team leadership on the development and production of each year’s Emmy FYC campaign materials. 
  • Knowledge of various platforms – looking forward – for FYC campaign innovations.
  • Research, compile and draft synopses and useable critics quotes for Emmy FYC collateral. 
  • Assemble unit photography for each show entered. 
  • Work with the HBO publicity team to assemble all headshots required for awards entry and subsequent photo needs for nominations and award ceremony. 
  • Create a working grid of all HBO eligible programming with full contact info for outreach to shows and Emmy and other award entry.
  • Assist events leadership with HBO executive ceremony invitations/rsvps/ticketing/seating for Emmys and all other award ceremonies. 
  • Assist with all Awards trade ads congratulating our nominees/winners for SAG, DGA, PGA, ACE, ASC, Peabodys, TV Honors, Humanitas, News and Documentary Emmys, Sports Emmys, Critics Choice, NAACP, GLAAD, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the Awards Department on tasks as needed and as a member of the Media Relations team on all events.
  • Able to create effective, collaborative working relationships with departments throughout the company that Awards relies on – programming, production, post, marketing, home entertainment, legal, etc.

  • Previous Awards and/or marketing design experience preferred.  Entertainment-related experience with knowledge of television credits preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience with Photoshop and other design software.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form – copyedit skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of current technology for entry submissions preferred (QuickTime files, Apple ProRes files, hard drives, etc…).
  • This position requires initiative, quick yet thoughtful problem-solving and follow through.
  • Candidate MUST excel at time-management, successfully juggle and meet multiple and contiguous deadlines, and be able to multi-task with a positive attitude. Must be able to work long hours as needed and be adept at handling pressure and stress.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently while being a team player.
  • Must be extremely organized, thorough and exceptionally detail-oriented.
