Position Summary:This is a leadership role. The Global Insurance Brand Marketing & Communications leader is expected to develop a global brand, marketing and communications strategy and tactical plan that will build EY’s brand in the sector, shape the disruptive agenda, create distinctive buyer experiences and drive revenue growth through solution campaigning, The role requires a strategic thinker who is able to translate EY’s Insurance business priorities and trends into marketing and communications strategies and programs. It also plays an important role teaming with and integrating FS programs with the FSO teams. Global Insurance BMC role requires an experienced and resilient team leader with a deep understanding of the Global Insurance sector. The role will be required to build strong relationships across Global Insurance leaders, client-serving professionals and Regional BMC networks. Global Financial Services BMC Industry Market Leader. Success in this role will be achieved through the leadership of a world-class Insurance marketing strategy and flawless execution of tactical plans that create measurable market impact: create a leadership “disruptive” brand position, create distinctive buyer experiences, expand EY’s addressable market and enable revenue growth. Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Provide strong BMC leadership to the Global Insurance Global Sector Leadership team
  • Create a global brand, marketing and communications strategy that aligns with Global Insurance Plan to Win global business plan and growth priorities
  • Is an influencer and able to support and encourage methods for driving innovation and change across the sector’s GTM strategy
  • Have budgetary and financial management responsibilities for all Global Insurance marketing programs
  • Take an organizational-level view of implications; manage competing forces and drive understanding, motivation and stakeholder value
  • Collaborate with the network of Global Insurance marketing and communications people within the regional FSO; create strong relationships that enable the successful co-creation, development and deployment of Global programs into regional markets
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the Global Insurance leadership team, including service line, regional and account leaders
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Global Insurance issues, trends and long-term implications for EY’s brand in the sector and its Go To Market approach in particular
  • Play a leading role in creating best-in-class issue-based Global Insurance programs that drive revenue growth

  • Develop appropriate project plans in alignment with BMC project management methodologies and professional standards; effectively partner with stakeholders to execute against project plans; be adaptable and proactive in addressing project challenges
  • Be a point of integration; connect all facets of the business when initiating, developing and implementing marketing and communications projects
  • Enable knowledge sharing throughout the Global Insurance Sector; develop an ability to synthesize information from others; help the Sector address its big issues; serve as an organizational connector; address complex political issues directly yet diplomatically
  • Proactively develop foundational, functional and leadership competencies in others; see learning and development as a critical input to delivering exceptional client service to BMC clients; seek to inspire others by holding self-accountable for continuous learning; leverage EY’s performance management and development process (PMDP) methods to effectively manage team member performance and development
  • Understand EY’s business; effectively navigate EY’s and BMC’s matrix organization to access, inform and engage the right people at the right time
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities concerning global business fundamentals, business models, ethics, competitive analysis and cross-cultural/geographical sensitivities
Job Requirements: Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications (or equivalent area of study or experience)
Experience Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships in the Sector and beyond

  • Sales campaigns and driving revenue
  • Ability to challenge views and perspectives, influence and lead change at a leadership level.
