We invite applications for the position of Manager, GIT Global Technology (SG 15) to lead both
the development and the implementation of SAP and non SAP applications to support business
requirements and deliver the GIT grid in the area of Product Development/Lifecycle


The position is within the Global Technology (R&D) category within GIT’s Global
Applications & Americas group and reports into the Director of Global Technology.
Specifically, this position has responsibility to:


● Lead Global project activities, including: building/maintaining detailed project plans with
appropriate tasks, dependencies and milestones, assigning tasks to resources, as well
as, monitoring progress, obtaining status updates from resources, and escalating project
risks to management.
● Support and coach team members, and influence their career and continuity on projects
based on their performance
● Manage escalations and re-prioritization with business, as well as capital and non-
variable budgets with regards to travel, software, and third party consultants
● Responsible for ensuring relationships with relevant business partners and key
stakeholders within Colgate are managed consistently and effectively at all levels
(locally/ regionally/ globally)
● Partner as the lead contact with business stakeholders to understand strategic R&D
objectives and determine how to best support the business through the effective use of
● Lead the architecture design and provide development oversight for applications in the
Product Development/Lifecycle Management area to increase automation, integration
with other solutions/systems and improve data quality including development of SAP
upgrade roadmap and strategy.
● Liaise with Global Technology (R&D) business teams in defining business processes/
requirements and technical solutions for Product Development/Lifecycle Management
● Apply design thinking skills, conceptual knowledge of business processes and
technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems.

● Manage a team of IT professionals and conduct performance reviews, provide coaching,
career development and assign work.

● Apply Agile project management concepts to development work to ensure solutions
delivered are aligned with business goals and deliver good user experience
● Identify opportunities to maximize current technology investments and optimize system
processes and data flows.
● Identify and assess new technology and concepts that can add value to the business.
● Facilitate appropriate business involvement in projects and contribute expertise to build
ownership for solutions.
● Ensure proper planning for project implementation, coordinating tasks with both
business and IT teams for complex global implementations to include design, testing,
implementation & documentation, timelines, business requirements, regulatory
requirements and global standards.
● Manage all global IT initiatives with a mix of resources from Colgate’s GSSO
organization in India and third party consultants who will execute these project



This position requires the following qualifications:

● Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Mathematics, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience
● Minimum of 7 years in a technical IT role, developing, configuring and implementing
business applications.
● Advance experience working with SAP PLM, Recipe Management/ Recipe
Development, SAP MM

● Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within
● Ability to manage large scale projects according to a defined timeline and track deliverables based
on project management principles
● Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills
● Ability to conduct complex and interactive solutioning workshops
● Minimum 2 Years’ experience working in ABAP, HANA and Webdynpro required
● Proven expertise and commitment to knowledge management and mentoring others

● Demonstrate strong leadership skills (effective communication, innovation, detailed-
oriented, manage multiple priorities)



Preferred skills:

● Experience managing and leading a team of professionals.
● Experience developing in XML and UI5
● Experience with SAP-PPM, SAP-DMS, Workflow, and SAP-EHS
