Global Brand Leader, Aleve

The primary responsibilities of this role, Global Brand Leader, Aleve, are to: 

  • Support the Global Business Division in leading the Global Brand Team (GBT);
    • Support the GBD to define and agree to the scope of work for the GBT, assist GBD in leading the GBT;
    • Support the GBD to leverage the diversity of the GBT most effectively;
    • Support GBT alignment and partner country ambassadorship for global brand strategy including innovation pipeline;
  • Define and own Global Brand Strategies
    • Conduct 3C analysis leveraging consumer segmentation, growth behavior, brand benefit edge, competitive understanding and Bayer Consumer Health capabilities to answer the key strategic questions ‘where to play’ and ‘how to win’;
    • Support the GBD to define the brand positioning based on thorough understanding of consumer insights;
    • Support the GBD to define the global brand communication strategy;
    • Ensure communication of global brand strategy throughout Bayer Consumer Health;
    • Ensure alignment of regulatory and medical strategy to support implementation of brand strategy;
  • Develop compelling global Direct to Consumer advertising campaigns with GBT partner markets;
    • Collaborate effectively with global agencies (creative and media) to maximize creative output and business impact;
    • Lead Consumer Connections Planning (CCP) process in GBT partner and Spark markets;
    • Oversee and guide the creative development process (AB/ STB/ Final creative work) applying defined decision rights
    • Develop creative platforms and respective copy pipelines as part of the 5 year innovation roadmap;
    • Develop and roll out global media strategy (media mix);
    • Oversee and guide the development of 360 activation toolkits (e.g. HCP e-detailer and POS messaging);
  • Support strengthening the Innovation Pipeline (all levels of innovation);
    • Support development and roll out of consumer centric innovation pipeline (consumer offerings and consumer engagement);
    • Ensure that all agreed innovation initiatives are delivered in line with 5 year innovation roadmap commitment;
    • Drive and monitor application of commercialization rules for ROPs to maximize innovation value creation;
  • Develop Global Pricing strategy;
    • Support and guide the development of a global pricing architecture leveraging the support from OMR and Global Pricing Manager;
    • Assure effective global roll out of approved pricing strategy;
    • Assure monitoring of the pricing strategy implementation through the global pricing manager;
  • Develop compelling Brand Success Model (BSM) to maximize global reapplication;
    • Lead and manages the OMR process to maximize learning from econometric modelling;
    • Develop BSM (identification of global brand success drivers and respective best practices);
    • Update BSM and to drive reapplication of proven success drivers and best practices in non GBT markets;
    • Act as consultant for media investment decisions with GBT partner markets and all Spark markets;
    • Assure appropriate BSM sharing platforms (global and regional workshops, Intranet, Lync sessions) are leveraged effectively;
    • Conduct commercial analysis to continuously improve Bayer Consumer Health marketing to meet changing market dynamics;
  • Perform additional responsibilities such as;
    • Maintain and update the Intranet and Internet sites;
    • Participate and/or lead in advertising development (liaison with countries, reviewing briefs, presenting at the Communication Forum, tracking results, etc.);
    • Participate and/or lead New Product Development projects (project management, country liaison, coordinating implementation, etc.);
    • Coordinate specific brand projects such as workshops, meetings, etc.;
    • Participate in research projects (writing briefs, country liaison, defining learnings and next steps, etc.);
    • Participate in packaging development projects (particularly coordination and facilitation of roll out);
    • Responsibility for sales reporting analysis (monthly brand reports, specific requests, etc.);
    • Support pre-launch readiness of the approved Regional Rollout Plans.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years’ business experience with a proven track record of success;
  • Experience in country marketing operations;
  • Analgesics category experience;
  • Leadership qualities, ideally in cross functional and cross cultural teams, strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong communicator;
  • Well-rounded English communication skills;
  • Must be capable of making oral and written high level and inspiring presentations on a senior management level;
  • Must be a team player with a global mind set;
  • Strong commitment and will to achieve above market results;
  • Analytical and financial management ability;
  • Experience utilizing sales analytics tools (IRI, Nielsen, etc.);
  • Cross-cultural experience, ideally from project work or international marketing role;
  • Understanding of brand success drivers;
  • Experience in tracking best practices.

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience in OTC, Rx or FMCG industry;
  • International experience/ experience in a global role;
  • Exposure to Innovation initiatives, R&D;
  • Project Management experience.
