Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Franchise Director, Product Initiatives for the Harry Potter Global Potter Global Franchise Development department. The Franchise Director, Product Initiatives is responsible for collaborating with WB divisions, The Blair Partnership (J.K. Rowling’s literary and brand management team) and our partners to create strategies for the Wizarding World (Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts) and oversee the day-to-day development of key product and fan experiences initiatives.
  • Partner with WB divisions and The Blair Partnership on key product development initiatives across the franchise touchpoints – including Games, Publishing, Consumer Products, Themed Entertainment and others – from concept to development.
  • Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices across divisions and key partners; ensure consistency and drive synergy.
  • Ensure product strategy, creative development and products are on-brand and in-line with the Wizarding World Global Franchise Plan.
  • Identify new opportunities to drive business goals; monitor and stay current on industry trends.
  • Drive on-going communication with the London-based franchise team and The Blair Partnership to foster a one team, collaborative approach; engage franchise marketing on branding decisions.
  • Create presentations, manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What do we require from you?
  • 4 year college degree required.
  • Minimum of 8+ years experience working on leading franchises.
  • Strong background in franchise development, including experience in product development/storytelling for multiple areas across Publishing, Games, Themed Entertainment and/or Consumer Products.
  • Experience at a movie studio, TV production company, publisher or other entertainment fields.
  • Proven track record of successfully working with 3rd party stakeholders preferred.
  • Must have excellent project management skills and a proven track-record of managing workflow to meet tight deadlines, while handling a high volume of work.
  • Must have a combination of a strong creative eye and proven business acumen.
  • Must be able to create and collaborate on visually compelling presentations and documents using PowerPoint, Keynote, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to travel to events, trade shows and meetings in various locations.
