This position works closely with the Worldwide Finance Community, providing technical tools, training, and reporting solutions related to the presentation and analysis of consolidated worldwide information.  This position acts as a conduit integrating the underlying database structures, financial policies and procedures, appropriate technologies, and the requirements of the user community, always ensuring the financial integrity of enterprise information.   Through the transformation of data into actionable information (Business Intelligence) our clients can increase productivity and perform value-added tasks such as analysis and identification of opportunities for improvement.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):  
  • Work closely with the business stakeholders to estimate, design and build reporting solutions based on requirements provided.
  • Assist in defining and documenting best practices, technical designs usage standards and governance around reporting.
  • Identify and recommend new products/services to enhance business partner productivity.
  • Develop understanding of business partner needs, assess organizational/business changes impact to financial reporting and apply appropriate solutions to meet those needs.
  • Build user friendly exploratory tools to help our users to explore and innovate on our rich and complex data sets.
  • Help coordinate the activities critical to ensuring the successful submission and reporting of monthly  / quarterly financial data by affiliates.
  • Maintain, design, implement, fine tune and troubleshoot reporting environment.
  • Significant interaction across divergent stakeholders Finance, I/T & various levels of leadership
  • Test reports and system functionality
  • Develop, document and execute appropriate SOX controls and procedures.
  • Develop / maintain training materials

  • Bachelor’s degree is required with a major in Finance, Accounting and / or Information Systems preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of Finance/Accounting experience required with experience in Financial Analysis & reporting experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Finance processes / systems / implementations is strongly preferred
  • Business Intelligence software experience, (COGNOS, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.) is required.  
  • Experience in working in a SOX compliant environment.
  • Experience with gathering user requirements, understanding and interpreting requirements specifications.
  • Strong business communication / presentation skills to translate technical work to analytic environment and communicate with users and decision makers.
  • Good functional financial process knowledge to translate business requirements into solutions.
  • Experience with SQL, PLSQL, database Star Schema, Tableau, Qlikview, JAVA, Oracle EBS, Oracle 12.2 is a preferred.
  • Good functional financial process knowledge to translate business requirements into solutions.
  • Project management experience is a preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence throughout the organization.
  • Previous experience in report design and development implementation is a preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and deal with complexity.

  • Strong teamwork and influencing skills are necessary.
