Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Wholesale Financial Crimes Risk & Compliance (WFCRC) establishes Wholesale Banking-level BSA/AML, OFAC and other financial crimes programs that are consistent with policies established by Enterprise Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) and Conduct Management Office (CMO) teams. The Anti-Bribery and Corruption Monitoring Consultant and Analyst will be part of the WFCRC Program Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) Team.

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the implementation and administration of the Wholesale Anti-Bribery and Corruption compliance program.
  • Maintaining inventory of Wholesale ABC Standards and line-of-business procedures and ensuring periodic updates/revisions and approvals are obtained as required.
  • Understanding products, services, client base and business model for Wholesale businesses to properly identify and assess ABC risk.
  • Analzying and tracking requests to provide gifts, entertainment, travel, accommodations, charitable contributions, political contributions, training programs and offers of employment.
  • Reviewing and analyzing corruption-related negatives news about clients, third parties or transactions and providing risk-mitigant recommendations.
  • Assisting with identifying and properly assessing third-party intermediaries, to include recommending risk-based controls for and monitoring business oversight thereof.
  • Reviewing monthly monitoring reports to identify and escalate trends, potential significant violations and/or risks.
  • Supporting risk-based due diligence program for transactions and product reviews.
  • Compiling monthly and quarterly anti-bribery and corruption related management information and recommend potential process improvements.
  • Assisting in development of targeted anti-bribery and corruption training.
  • Assisting in identification of policy violations.
  • Fielding inquiries and providing guidance to Line of Business team members regarding pre-clearance and reporting error monitoring.

The position will report to an ABC subject-matter expert on the Wholesale ABC team and will partner with others on the team, other partners within WFCRC, LOBs, and Enterprise CMO to support the development and effective implementation of an end-to-end Wholesale Financial Crimes Compliance program.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management, or compliance; or a BS/BA degree or higher in applied sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or criminal justice, with 2+ years of experience in the foregoing

  • Working knowledge of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the UK Bribery Act and other ABC laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with operations of a large financial institution and/or broker-dealer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally in and in writing.
  • Sound analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, well organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to drive projects to completion
  • Excel, Access, PowerPoint capabilities
