The essential functions of the Business Analyst are to analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and design improved processes while identifying and defining detailed product requirements and use cases to ensure efficiency and quality throughout the operation. The Business Analyst is expected to perform the following activities:

  • Talk to business owners and users to understand the business systems in the customer environment.
  • Facilitate meetings to gather requirements and create user stories.
  • Actively participate in creating the best possible product for the client through active participation in peer reviews, retrospectives and spikes.
  • Shepherd projects through software life cycle processes to get them to production.
  • Actively participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and demonstrate strong dedication to quality and communication.
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in user and task analysis to maintain the customer 's perspective while maintaining client relationships at peer level.
