Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM): Wells Fargo Asset Management brings together a strategic balance of investment capabilities to serve the investment needs of clients worldwide: institutions, financial advisors, and individuals. Wells Capital Management is a registered investment advisor and a dedicated institutional asset manager within the WFAM umbrella. Their mission is to deliver superior investment service to our institutional clients globally.

This role will report into the Head of Distribution Enablement at Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) and will be responsible for supporting strategic business initiatives to the firm focused on building out the executive platform.  In this role, you will work closely with the CEO and her leadership team, other Wells Fargo Asset Management business heads and internal stakeholders to identify and drive rapid execution on key strategic initiatives and innovations. This role will require you to work with a high level of sensitivity and diplomacy. You must have the ability to collaborate with senior executives while also engaging and collaborating with all levels across the organization. In this role, you will lead and direct executive initiatives, messaging and other cross WIM projects.. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspire, lead and advance unique and cohesive executive leadership platforms designed to strengthen client relationships, positively position WFAM and its businesses with the end goal to drive revenue and asset growth. You will be required to strategically connect investment and industry expertise with marketing, PR and public policy efforts. You will need to be able to identify trends, initiate research, and collaborate with investment and product teams and the marketing and PR teams to drive execution. Platforms could include, but are not limited to, ESG investing, gender empowerment, millennial financial wellbeing, and retirement security.
  • Work in collaboration with business leads to develop curated experiences and engagement tactics for strategic clients with the objective to initiate client-driven innovation. Provide path to execution with measurable outcomes.
  • Initiate cross-organizational opportunities to amplify the value and quality of WFAM, promote the voice of the CEO and support other Wells Fargo business capabilities, products, solutions or thought leadership and objectives in multiple ways. This could include redefining messages on key topics or products, for example the ESG value proposition.
  • Drive efforts to transform brand perceptions through unique, needs-driven programs that connect investment and solution capabilities to client and community needs. Programs could focus on issues such as gender and pay equity, student debt reduction or community and family financial wellness.
  • Support strategic projects for the executive and distribution teams, that could include content development for the website, support of PR initiatives and external events, and the management of conferences.



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of financial services experience
  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 3+ years of leadership experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of marketing, branding and content development work
  • Proven ability to lead with sensitivity and tenacity. “No” or “can’t” is never an answer and you must be able to always seek a solution.
  • Curious and knowledgeable enough to cross breadth of disciplines including PR, marketing, business strategy, product development and client service. Must be both modest and confident in your knowledge base.
  • Extensive content strategy and brand positioning experience.
  • Ability to interface with senior executives and communicate with confidence.
  • Able to advocate for disruptive innovation and able to make a case for the value of exploring new practices and programs.
  • Able to motivate and engage stakeholders and staff in delivering effective results.
  • Able to execute on short timelines and manage to a budget.
  • Extensive experience in financial services in both the institutional and intermediary businesses.
  • Expertise in brand and marketing transformation for businesses and products.
  • Must have over 15 years of experience in financial services in the marketing, PR, communications and/or client service functions.
