Wells Fargo Equipment Finance (WFEF) is the largest bank-owned equipment leasing and finance company in the U.S. with a portfolio exceeding $45 billion, more than 250,000 active customers and 3,000+ team members with coverage in all 50 states and Canada.  WFEF provides a full spectrum of financing and lease options for customers’ equipment and capital expenditure requirements through Wells Fargo business, commercial and corporate banking channels, relationships with equipment manufacturers, dealers, distributors and direct to market.   WFEF has Industry and Asset-type specialists devoted to Construction Equipment, Commercial and Specialty Vehicles, Vendor Finance Programs, Technology Finance, Food, Beverage, Agriculture, Healthcare, Aerospace, Automotive, Marine and Corporate Aircraft.  It is the #1 non-captive lender for construction equipment and commercial vehicles.

The Relationship Manager 3 (RM) is responsible for providing sales and transaction support for multiple Specialty Vertical teams, to primarily include Food and Agribusiness, Marine, Aerospace and Automotive Industries. In coordination with Specialty Market Managers (SMM), the RM will manage transactions post-approval – generally through the documentation, funding and booking process as well as post-closing follow up items such as financial information requests, documentation and funding issues, regulatory data compliance and transaction status updates. The RM provides sales support to the SMM and assists with customer service issues, responds to telephone and or email requests regarding pricing, credit, funding and documentation questions. This role will require effective communication and collaboration with all Wells Fargo Equipment Finance (WFEF) Credit and Operations teams.  In addition, the RM will frequently work directly with Wells Fargo Bank Relationship Managers on referred transactions. From time to time the RM will also be asked to support the WFEF Specialty Markets Managers with Business development projects.  If desired, the RM role can be a first step to a future sales roles within WFEF’s Specialty Markets Verticals.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years account management experience, sales experience, or a combination of both

  • Contract negotiation and pricing experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience in Equipment Leasing
  • Loan and Lease documentation experience
  • Strong experience resolving and working through escalated and complex customer issues
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of lease and loan products, pricing, credit underwriting, and documentation processes
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to understand financial metrics
  • Customer service focus with the ability to balance needs of clients, shareholders, and team members
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills
  • Effective multi-tasking, problem solving, prioritizing skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • College degree preferred
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated history of responsibility for maintaining relationships with clients

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel 40% of the time
