Entry Level Investment Sales Coordinator

Job Function and Key Responsibilities:


As an Investment sales coordinator and scheduler, you are responsible for providing support to the internal / external sales team and responsibilities include: scheduling and coordinating meetings and events with current and future clients. This role serves as a liaison between the external sales team and internal departments. You will work closely with the investment management sales team and relationship managers to support a high volume of requests in support of the New York Life / Mainstay Investment solutions (mutual funds, EFT’s private investments).


As an Investment sales coordinator and scheduler you will be exposed to on-the-job training within a fast-paced sales environment with the follow responsibilities:

  • Ability to consistently have high volume of proactive phone activity
  • Able to thrive in a high-energy environment
  • Self starter / Self motivated

Required Qualifications:


  • Desire to pursue a role in sales (client facing).
  • Build and expand relationships with predetermined opportunistic list of prospects and clients.
  • Fluid relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interaction with various levels of business and industry members in a professional manner.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required within 6 months of start date.
  • Must has a strong attention to detail and superior organization skills.
  • Possess strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email/calendars).
  • Interest and passion around capital markets, asset management and investment solutions.
  • Strategic thinker and strong work ethic.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking is a huge plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required – specifically Finance/Business major preferred.
