Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Enterprise Data Remediation (EDR) team members are an important part of the overall DMI data management framework. EDR provides support to Line of Business and functional support teams to remediate high priority data issues. EDR designs and implements solutions for collecting, managing, and consuming data in a manner consistent with the DMI data strategy.

The Enterprise Data Remediation team provides four key functions to support the DMI mission:

  • Support for Data Issue Prioritization
  • Data Issue Triage & Disposition
  • Data Issue Assessment & Solution Design
  • Data Issue Remediation (Solution Implementation)

The EDR Remediation Initiatives Consultant will provide coordination and operational support to the Traded Products, Market Risk and Counterparty Risk data remediation team. The EDR Remediation Initiatives Support Consultant will report to the EDR Business Execution & Remediation Support Lead.

Primary responsibilities within this role include:

  • Provide coordination and operational process support to remediation teams during Triage, Assessment, Solution Design, Issue Validation and Closure, transition from projects to BAU (examples: assembling and tracking to task lists or “project” plans, organizing meetings, capturing meeting minutes, following up on action items, etc)
  • Provide portfolio management support and development of status reporting for senior management
  • Lead meetings and drive results on behalf of remediation teams
  • Partner with DMI business partners to facilitate the intake, triage, reporting and assignment of new work efforts
  • Provide workflow management and tools support for EDR Remediation teams.
  • Provide inputs on metrics and status of EDR work efforts to ensure complete and accurate reporting
  • Provide drafting, oversight, controls and monitoring functions to ensure completion of required assessment and remediation project documentation
  • Facilitate interactions with the Data Ecosystem (intake and funding process) and partner Project Management Organizations to initiate remediation projects

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of banking industry experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 4+ years of experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
  • Experience working with work flow management tools (JIRA/Confluence a plus)
  • Experience working with business and technology project management teams and methodologies (waterfall, agile/scrum, etc)
  • Experience working in an operations and/or reporting environment
  • Experience with rollout of business processes in a changing, fluid environment
  • 3+ years of experience in projects related to one or a combination of the below
    • Traded markets, counterparty risk, market risk
    • Risk and/or regulatory reporting
    • Credit products (consumer or commercial), master and reference data, or deposits data
