Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally.  Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. Our team is dedicated to the sale, financing and recapitalization of all major real estate product types including office, retail, hospitality, industrial and multifamily properties.  Widely recognized for our capital markets and real estate expertise, our team is also known for their distinguishing access and credibility, incomparable experience, outstanding client service, and proven track record. 

This Managing Director will be joining the New York Equity Sales team and will be capable of managing all aspects of a deal and a deal team with little to no supervision.  The Managing Director will generate new business in the New York market and take full advantage of the firm’s platform.  A successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to develop close and consistent relationships with clients, source business, and dedicate time outside the office for the benefit of clients.  The Managing Director will successfully function as an integral part of the deal team and must have the ability to effectively interface with senior management and clients.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing international transactions
  • Generating new business
  • Financial underwriting
  • Due diligence review
  • Transaction execution
  • Mentoring and managing others and the preparation of presentation materials to prospective clients

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial real estate experience, brokerage experience, or a combination of both



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of business development: business vision, strategies, and goals
  • Ability to analyze trends in the competitive marketplace and related marketing developments
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Ability to read and understand complex commercial real estate loan documentation and securitization documents, including pooling and servicing agreements
  • Ability to generate revenue and actively participate in the successful completion of complex transactions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
  • Outstanding negotiating skills
  • 10+ years of commercial real estate experience
