Warner Bros. Distributing Inc. seeks a Director, Theatrical Event Logistics for the Domestic Publicity department. The Director, WW Theatrical Events & Logistics is responsible for the coordination management of the logistics for all Warner Bros. WW Theatrical Marketing Publicity events and related activities in the United States and abroad. The position interfaces with security, transportation, production vendors and venues to ensure logistics and protocols are established and met.  
  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics, timelines and execution for events and activities for the WW Marketing and Publicity Department.
  • Responsible for coordinating with domestic and international publicity operations, to evaluate, assess, facilate and manage logistics for executives, filmmakers and talent during events and activities associated with theatrical release campaigns, such as personal appearances, talent tours, conventions, social events and all related theatrical marketing activities, with maximum effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Liaise  and coordinate with Warner Bros. and Time Warner Security for “on the ground” logistics at select events.
  • Oversee and direct  the transportation, parking, venues and vendors to ensure effective coordination of activities and advise on logistic needs for theatrical events.
  • Manage internal and external staffing needs at worldwide events to ensure consistency in event logistics.
  • Oversee and perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
What do we require from you?
  • BA/BS degree required. Preference for degree in operations or logistics.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Theatrical special events, logistics or operations required.
  • Must have strong PC skills (to create and manage databases).
  • Must be able to effectively solve problems.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company data.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team-based, high-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to interact with persons at all levels including talent, filmmakers, etc.
  • Must be able to direct and coordinate people.
  • Must have knowledge of varied venues for publicity events.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to follow up critical.
  • Travel and work to various locations required.
  • Potential to interact with difficult, confrontational and uncompromising fans and other third parties at theatrical marketing events.
