Director, Talent Acquisition

About the position

The Director of Talent Acquisition acts as the primary relationship manager and key contact for clients of the Talent Acquisition department. You will provide leadership, development, direction, support and evaluation of the recruiting strategies to their recruiting team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing recruiting strategies tailored to the needs of multiple/complex functional areas, divisions or business groups. You will be responsible for managing overall workflow of their recruiting team, and working dynamically across teams within the talent organization, managing volume, resource allocation and performance. The position may include recruiting, interviewing and recommending experienced professional and executive level candidates, with a key focus on relationship management. This position reports to the Vice President, Talent Acquisition. Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain relationships within the business which enable and facilitate effective hiring practices
  • Focus and develop expertise on workforce planning, job analysis, and staffing leadership
  • Direct and lead projects and recruiting related activities across staffing organization
  • Manage and mentor recruiting staff, including resource allocation, compliance to corporate guidelines, and applicable metrics
  • Collaborate with other members of the Talent Organization, HR Business Partners and key hiring managers to determine workforce planning, recruiting/ sourcing strategies, selection criteria, recruiting metrics
  • Collaborate with Recruiters to ensure recruitment strategies incorporate internal, external and diversity sourcing strategies
  • Manage budget to ensure appropriate sourcing spending occurs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on recruiting policies and procedures
  • Coach/ mentor Recruiters and share knowledge
  • BA/BS required
  • 7+ years of progressive recruiting experience in staffing environment, either in corporate or third party search experience
  • 5+ years of management experience developing recruiters into talent advisors/consultants
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Success in building relationships, at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with key decision makers
  • Proven success in client management
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good judgment with the ability to interface effectively with senior executives
  • Utilization of market intelligence to connect with top talent
  • Previous experience in gathering and analyzing information for the business and customers
