Director, Strategic Solutions

About the position

Individual Solutions Group seeks a Director of Strategic Solutions to partner across the Prudential US Businesses to co-define a strategic roadmap that offers simplified solutions (product, advice and service offering). Reporting to the Vice President Strategic Solutions, the Director will be a strong thinker who can link consumer needs to marketplace products and customer experiences in any go to market channel. The Director Strategic Solutions should partner with the product, marketing, operations, investments, distribution and control partner teams to create product design strategy Help with product positioning and education of client team

This is a hands-on role where you will work independently while collaborating closely with product development, product management, distribution, technology, marketing, finance, regulatory, legal and compliance professionals as part of the day-to-day execution.

The successful candidate will have broad responsibilities, including:

  • Working closely with partners to define solution requirements that will meet customer, channel, internal operations and third-party partner experiences.
  • Proactively leveraging internal and external data and research to develop a detailed, strategic framework for products and services Prudential should bring to the marketplace.
  • Partnering to develop prioritized solution learning agendas and ‘go to market’ concepts.
  • Establishing and setting key benchmarks and key performance indicators and success measures for each initiative.
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance of strategies and plans to evaluate business impact while defining opportunities to optimize.
  • Engaging in ongoing partnership with business units and other key areas to inform and enable strategic and tactical plans and activities
  • Building relationships with key partners; working closely with internal and external partners to drive continuous improvement in all efforts
  • A minimum of five years of experience in product development roles in life insurance, annuities, disability product types
  • Strong skillset to develop presentation materials, frameworks and host consultative discussions to drive strategic business outcomes
  • Must have process-driven approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to operate independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple steams of work and effectively manage time and workload
  • Comfort working in a creative, fast paced, ambiguous and demanding environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present to a wide range of internal (including C-suite) and external audiences
  • Social and interpersonal skills to engage others and obtain required information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with depth of experience developing presentations in PowerPoint
  • Understanding of life insurance, annuities, disability, and other financial products, services as well as distribution and concepts is highly desirable
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of their time
