General Summary
This position will be accountable for the deployment of plans that enable North America supply chain strategy. Role will also develop portions of the Operations Strategic Plan in alignment with Franchise strategy needs.
This position will have the primary responsibility for innovative and process centered deployment strategies in the more significant network optimization projects. These projects will require a broad, often very complex array of solution steps to successfully move these projects to execution. These strategies will require a strong alignment with the Consumer Global Supply Chain. Projects will also include pre-requisite evaluations, resource requirements and change management initiatives to support deployment of strategy. The position will also be responsible to assist in the development of Operations strategic plan and scenario generation as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Lead role in deployment strategy for Network Optimization initiatives
Interface with Global Supply Chain Team, especially Network, Strategy & VSL teams
Interface with management consultants on repatriation of facilities
Potentially involved in high level negotiations
Updates/ strategy direction sessions with Regional & global stakeholders, including the company group chairperson
Collaboration across J&J sectors on strategy alignment
Interface with J&J corporate on issues/ decisions affecting strategy
Could engage third party/ other corporations on re-patriation possibilities
Develop the operations strategic deployment plan with resource requirements across the portfolio of strategic projects
Development of high-level project timelines, risks and complexity models for emerging strategies
Generate change management plans tying to implementation strategies
Request project funding with financial justification (CAR creation). Interface with regional management, Consumer, and Enterprise leadership.
Partner with the PMO/IMO to monitor portfolio and resource balancing and resolve conflicts across total Operations enterprise.
Recommend course corrections to strategic plan as deployment or implementation plans dictate
Monitor progress of implementation against approved CAR’s and strategic plans
Partner with other portfolio leadership to create franchise-wide strategy
Partner with Finance to establish long range financial planning requirements
Qualifications

BS required, technical or business degree preferred. MBA desirable
A minimum 10 years combined experience in Operations/Supply Chain and Strategic Planning is required 
A minimum of 5 years project management experience is required 
Process excellence certification, specifically Lean or PeX preferred
Experience managing professionals is required
Demonstrated experience across Supply Chain in managing large-scale initiatives is required
Ability to link strategic initiatives to deployment plans to current year business plan implications is required 
Experience with reliability and risk management programs and execution 
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple, global regions simultaneously
Demonstrated experience in mastering complexity and process orientation
Experience in the development of process metrics
Strong collaboration and communication, strategic mindset, communications, analytical ability
This position is based in Skillman, NJ and may require some domestic and international travel up to 15%
