Director, Strategic Marketing - LEAP Marketing

About the position

We are seeking two (2) dynamic leaders to join us as Director, Strategic Marketing –LEAP Marketing. These roles are part of the Workplace Solutions Group (WSG) team, which includes our retirement and group insurance businesses.   The incumbents will be responsible for developing, implementing and analyzing marketing strategies and KPIs for a set of strategic initiatives related to either independent workers and organizations that aggregate these workers (such as associations and employer groups) or the unique Financial Wellness needs of Pre-Retirees and Retirees. Successful candidates will take consumer driven insights to drive marketing strategy across multiple businesses / stakeholders, developing full marketing campaigns and leading engagement strategies for target B-to-B and B-to-C audiences.

These Directors will represent marketing in key workstreams. As such the roles will involve collaboration with business partners and project teams to develop and deploy scalable marketing and digitally focused omni channel marketing programs. The Incumbents understand the financial services industry, including market expectations, products, services and distribution channels. The Incumbents have a tolerance for ambiguity, agility and can drive a test and learn environment.

Job Responsibilities:

-       Responsible for managing the marketing plans and execution for assigned programs.

-       Understand and drive the marketing strategy of the assigned LEAP initiative, as well as provide consultation to overall project efforts.

-       Develop and drive customer engagement including acquisition and retention, in coordination with other business units.

-       Lead and collaborate across corporate and other businesses on any marketing initiatives and help develop those strategies as well as drive teams to implement and maintain those plans.

-       Ensure a consistent marketing message and position consistent with the brand and strategy.

-       Develop and champion new high impact marketing tools/programs that help accelerate our portfolio of initiatives drive demand for our products and services.

-       Drive ongoing marketing analysis and measurement. Incorporate and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for all initiatives and adjust implementation strategies to maximize impact.

-       Accountable for the accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness of the marketing deliverables developed under their direction.

-       Continually looks to improve the process and procedures to maximize Marketing’s effectiveness on the business. Identifies best practices, celebrates success and models change.

-       Communicates comfortably with all levels of the organization.


-       5-7 years marketing experience or related customer experience

-       Highly effective strategic planner, taking ideas from concept to successful implementation and maintenance in a matrixed organization

-       Experience with omni channel marketing, digital marketing and marketing automation

-       Proven ability to manage large scale initiatives across multiple businesses

-       Excellent oral and written communication skills

-       Strong advocate of teamwork, performance excellence and continuous improvement.

-       Experience with Agile methodology preferred

-       Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive change
