Description

The Director of Over-the-Top will be a key evangelist and driver of growth of Over-the-Top (OTT) audiences and revenue for media outlets in Cox Media Group. The job reports to the Executive Director Digital Audience & Product. The director will interface with analytics, product, engineering, marketing, and sales.  The director will work closely with key content and sales representatives at individual CMG brands to drive audience and revenue growth.  They will also work closely with marketing leaders to grow audience for the apps. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit to growing content, product and revenue from OTT. The candidate should have previous experience with streaming services such as Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and other OTT platforms.  Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading and executing the company's strategy for growing our OTT audience and revenues.
  • Provides advisement, consulting and leadership for execution of company's OTT offerings in order to achieve key KPI’s such as total viewing minutes, session time, etc.
  • Guides and drives content production across the organization.
  • Partners with sales to develop and monetize content that is consistent with each brand's voice as well as research.
  • Influences CMGd and individual properties to create and execute sales packages as well as develop our OTT inventory.
  • Work with executives to expand the distribution of channels and programming.
  • Develops and leads a comprehensive pipeline of new content, product and enhancement opportunities across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Open to frequent travel with the ability to travel up to 50% to sites.
  • Experience leading and managing OTT or video-driven products at a publisher or platform for at least 6 years.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • 2+ years of experience programming and managing video channels, OTT channels or products.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow audience and monetization across O&O and 3rd party platforms
  • Expertise in the programmatic marketplace.
  • Managed teams across the enterprise and conduct outreach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a ‘matrixed’ organization.
