Director, Marketing, Voluntary Products & Enrollment

The Director, Marketing for Voluntary Products and Enrollment will be responsible for developing the marketing strategy, execution and market roll out plans for existing and new Voluntary products. The candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing the Enrollment Marketing strategy and execution across new and in-force Group Insurance customers and the participants. The candidate will partner closely with the Voluntary Products team, Distribution, Marketing, Operations and Centralized business functions to drive an integrated strategic marketing plan that supports business objectives around acquisition, retention and profitability.

Major Responsibilities include:

·         Responsible for marketing strategy development and go to market roll out of an integrated strategic marketing plan for existing and new Voluntary products. Partner with product and distribution to introduce the Voluntary products and capabilities to drive differentiation and adoption across producers, employers and employees/participants.

·         Responsible for the development and execution of the enrollment marketing strategy with Product. Draw on expertise in research, segmentation and analytics to create multi-channel strategies that connect with the target audience throughout the lifecycle to increase participation and drive measurable impact for the business.

·         Lead and Partner to streamline the internal process and enrollment marketing budget to drive efficiencies in capacity planning and implementation of marketing and enrollment campaigns to impact business objectives.

·         Lead the development of impactful marketing communications to use the most effective channels given the target audience and objectives. Articulates differentiated positioning in a clear, compelling and concise way by adapting the communication style based on the tactic/channel.

·         Serve as subject matter expert. Partner and consults with cross-functional areas, including Product, Distribution, Marketing and Cross business teams to develop, align and execute strategies.

·         Lead and manage a team to create an inclusive, ethical and high-performing organizational climate in which associates are engaged and motivated to do their best work by reliably producing the required business results


Bachelor's degree preferred, MBA or other advanced degree  is   a plus

7-10 years of experience in group employee benefits, Voluntary products or contributory lines, as well as conducting and leading enrollment campaigns is strongly preferred

5+ years of management experience

Aptitude to effectively build and maintain partnerships with internal and external partners.

Solid analytical skills with the ability to drive execution, initiate action and follow-ups to successful completion.

Experience with B2B and B2C marketing

Experience with digital marketing and new marketing trends

Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
