Director, Human Resources Business Partner NYC

Overview

This role will oversee and be responsible for the development and implementation of human capital strategies and initiatives, and management of core human resources activities at the NY Tech Hub. They will work in partnership with the local executives to develop strategies and initiatives designed to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will serve as an advocate for employees in the tech hub and will develop and implement initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, development and productivity. This role will serve as the main point of contact and work in partnership with the local community and government agencies to support our human capital tech objectives

The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an amazing innovative culture as the organization grows and scales.

The DIRECTOR HR Business Partner will be responsible for managing and performing a wide range of HR activities including, but not limited to: strategic alignment, curriculum development and implementation, leadership development and succession planning, skills assessment, organization design, performance management, employee relations management, employee coaching and mentoring, compensation assessment and talent acquisition management

Role

• Drives change for the Tech hub by developing and strategically implementing cross-functional corporate and global HR strategies, initiatives, guidelines, processes and systems, leveraging local best-practices (e.g., organizational design, talent acquisition, succession management, talent management and development, employee relations matters, resource planning, compensation and benefits, and performance management)

• Experience working in strategic change management with a demonstrated ability to manage large projects and initiatives.
Partners cross-functionally with business unit executives, Global HRBPs and other HR teams to identify and set short and long-term HR metrics based on business plans and local business goals

• Provides in-depth Tech hub insight and strategic advice to Global HRBPs and business unit executives to inform complex business strategies

• Develop HR/people oriented programs to positively impact change

• Partners with the Global HRBPs to provide in-depth context and insight to inform talent related initiatives to address complex global, local and enterprise-wide changes and demands

• Design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic planning, visioning, change management and team building

• Serves as subject matter expert for local labor and employment regulatory environment and reviews HR strategies to ensure compliance

• Provides guidance and advice to business unit executives to implement performance management processes and change management initiatives

• Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution. Provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.


•Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex, and design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.

•Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development.

All About You

Previous HR work experience supporting a tech organization is preferred.

•Effective consulting and coaching skills, with the ability to build relationships with leaders and stakeholders across all levels, functions to implement organizational change.

•MA/MS degree with emphasis in HR or equivalent
