We are seeking an experienced and talented HR leader to join our organization as the Director for the Nielsen Watch business  In this role, you will advise members of the Watch leadership team on all people-related initiatives, from talent management and learning to employee relations and analytics. You will coach our senior leaders and their teams, advising them on the most appropriate and impactful solutions to meet our changing business and talent needs.  

 

You will drive change within the organization demonstrating passion for attracting, engaging, developing, and rewarding talent and well as leading large transformation projects related to organization design and/or acquisition integration.

 

This position reports to the SVP of HR for Nielsen's Watch business.

 

 
Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide consultative advice to senior leaders on all people-related activities
  • Maintain a consistent pulse on what is happening in the organization and industry, develop a deep understanding of the business and its priorities that will inform talent priorities
  • Act as a formal and informal leader on the Watch HR team, responsible for critical HR processes and initiatives
  • Identify and design progressive programs related to the engagement and development of our talent
  • Be a transformation leader across the organization, both in thought and execution
  • Lead annual performance/compensation processes as well as bi-annual HR review processes for the organization
  • Conduct labor market/organization/talent analysis to inform our decisions for improving productivity, performance, and profitability (e.g. org upgrade metrics, turnover, performance ratings, exit interviews, etc.)
  • Serve as Change Management consultant/Change agent in assigned organization, planning and deploying effective change management strategies, communications and training in support of major organization change
  • Serve as initial contact for all employee relations issues; resolve employee relations issues; escalate when appropriate



 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Business, Organization Effectiveness or related field required 
  • At least 5 - 7 years of demonstrated excellence in an HR Business Partner capacity
  • Strategic thinker comfortable giving consultative advice to senior leaders 
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint and analytical skills

 

Desired: 

 

  • Prefer Master’s in HR, MBA or leadership program graduates 
  • Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure
  • Experience with acquisition/integration work
  • People management experience
