Warner Bros. Technology is looking for a Director to oversee our World Wide Theatrical Marketing & Distribution application. This person will responsible for designing, delivering and operating technology, partner to the business and serve as a liaison to other groups within the WB Technology division. 
 
The person will have responsibility for technical architecture, design, and development of solutions, with direct oversight of internal and external development teams and ensure the strategy and solutions are in alignment the business strategy and goals.  The position will act as the single point of contact to the business unit with accountability for all Technology services. 

 
  • Work directly with business process owners to develop technology opportunities into a technology roadmap.  Maintain the roadmap with prioritized initiatives which support short and long-term business strategies.  Develop proposals to capture scope, business justification, cost benefit analysis, and budget for review and approval by senior management.
  • Oversee execution of technology projects to ensure successful implementation and business adoption. Management and oversight software architecture, development and implementation.  Partner with Solutioning Teams to select and implement the best in class technologies.  Requires strong software architecture and system development knowledge and background.
  • Be the point of contact for World Wide Theatrical Distribution users.  Resolve technology issues that are raised: trouble-shooting, escalating, and communicating on behalf of the business users until issues are resolved.
  • Oversee support for the existing technology portfolio.  Manage support vendors, capture support and enhancement requirements, facilitate prioritization of requests, plan development and deployment efforts. Maintain a thorough understanding of the end-to-end business processes of the World Wide Theatrical division.
  • Be the technology advocate for the business; research, recommend, and develop new technologies that improve the business processes of the division.  Seek out opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to the benefit of the business.
  • Manage the budget associated with World Wide Theatrical division technology portfolio, including capital and expense projects, small enhancement and maintenance budgets.  Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of the technology spend for the portfolio.
  • Act as a representative of Business Tech Workplace Team for the Theatrical group, participating in Warner Bros. company, WB Technology, and department initiatives.  Develop cross functional, cross divisional, cross disciplinary relationships that assist with ensuring initiatives are collaborative and successful.
 
What do we require from you?

 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Technical background in system and software architecture, design, and development required
  • Technical Degree in Electrical Eng., Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred
  • 10+ years working in software development and delivery in the capacity of senior architect or senior software developer. 
  • Experience in Agile, DevOps and “waterfall” development models.
  • Experience with public cloud and on-prem hosting environments, system and software architecture, and modern software development tools.
  • 7+ years of experience working in Theatrical Distribution solutioning or with a technology organization of an entertainment studio.
  • 7+ years of service and solution delivery experience -- including project management and delivery, business analysis, and client relationship management
  • 7+ years of experience delivering large scale software solutions and platforms
  • 5+ years of financial budget management experience a plus
