Director, Agile Leader of People (Virtual)

About the role With its reputation for innovation and award-winning products and service, Prudential’s Individual Solutions is a growing and dynamic organization. This position offers a challenging and high-profile opportunity to lead a team, collaborating with internal and external business partners and coaching individuals towards achieving the goals and objectives across our agile team. We are looking for a leader to be part of a Customer Experience team within Prudential’s Individual Solutions organization. This person will have accountability across:
  • Daily management of agile team members within Customer Experience organization
  • Advocating and coaching cross functional team members on performance development, including
    • Establishing performance goals, individual development plans, comprising functional skills and career growth
    • Continual improvement toward performance objectives
  • Overseeing and coordinating resources who support work across our agile framework and partnering with functional leaders across the organization in managing matrixed support
  • Ability to hire and form high performing teams
This position is a newly created role and will be serve on the leadership team, reporting to the Head of Customer Experience. Qualifications
  • Inspirational leader with experience managing high performing teams and direct reports
  • Proven expertise in one or more business functions (product, marketing, service, customer experience, direct-to-consumer, etc) and/or technical disciplines
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and customer base
  • Organizational awareness; ability to influence conversations across various levels of the business
  • Demonstrates strong aptitude for mentoring/coaching and a passion for development of people
  • Sound business industry knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, across organization and vendors
  • Strategic thinker with proven track record in implementing change
  • Ability to identify and break down complex business problems and develop recommendations
  • Familiarity with Agile principles preferred, but not required
  • Travel required (approx. 20%)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
