Digital Production Intern, Fall 2018

Job Summary: Intern will help the digital comics department create digital comics from printed books. Intern will also help create books that are digital first comics. Responsibilities:The Digital Production Intern will be responsible in using design skills to gather files used to make printed books into digital files. Keeping a close eye to details that translate from print to digital. Intern will also help with Marvel Unlimited. They will be able to control which panel on a comic page will be seen next for the reader to enjoy. Other duties are: work with the digital department team, organize files, and help with short term projects that will be added unannounced to the current workflow.

Basic Qualifications:Intern should be introduced to the Adobe design programs. (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator) Should work well with others, be responsible for their actions, listen closely and ask questions when needed to tasks given. Portfolio will be required.
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the US
  • All candidates must be at least 18 years old
  • All candidates must be available during the months of September through December
  • All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Resume must outline other internships, degrees earned, work experience, related clubs and organizations, current major course of study, expected graduation date and extracurricular activities.
  • Cover letter must include a personal introduction, and days/times available during internship period.
  • Preferred Junior or Senior-level standing
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Required Education • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, BA/BS in Design
• Must be enrolled in college/university
