Digital Marketing Manager


Description

The Digital Marketing Manager lives and breathes digital marketing. The primary role of the Digital Marketing Manager is to lead on strategy, development and execution of marketing campaigns across all digital channels.   This individual will have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from strategy to execution by partnering with supporting agencies.  The role strives to increase our digital footprint, specifically to drive increased awareness, leads, revenue and market share.  This individual will work with the marketing team and vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget.  This individual will lead the team on all online/digital aspects for VinSolutions and Dealertrack F&I, RTS and Lender.  The ideal candidate will be both an expert on digital marketing and capable of leveraging agency partners to drive execution.   


Specific Responsiblities

  • Work with the marketing team to execute on strategy for digital channels including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.  Lead the planning and execution of goal-focused integrated digital marketing campaigns from strategy to execution.
    • Develop, manage and optimize the web, digital and social calendar in partnership with internal stake holders to drive engagement with the brand.
    • Support copy development for webpages and digital marketing channels through keyword research
  • Ensure working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Eloqua, Pardot, Marketing Cloud and Marketo.  Work across the Marketing team to build and execute digital assets as needed to achieve corporate revenue and market share goals. 
  • Own digital strategy for the VinSolutions and Dealertrack websites.
    • Lead on strategy and user experience direction.
    • Manage content updates as needed.
    • Nurture and generate new prospects and leads by converting site traffic.  Develop a website traffic plan and create goals for site visitors.
    • Optimize website for SEO and user experience. Manage SEO for all pages.  Lead on strategy, plan and execution.  Identify best practices, share learnings and drive implementation.
  • Develop and maintain Google Analytics dashboard to provide actionable traffic insights
  • Work with agency partners to manage and implement AdWords campaigns.  Ensure programs are optimized to drive conversions.

  • Use social media to promote thought leadership and employee advocacy:

    • Moderate all user-generated content.
    • Lead and coordinate real-time responses to online posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other branded channels
    • Support crisis communications plans using social and email channels
  • Measureand report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns across mediums/vehicles
    • Manage, capture and analyze digital campaigns effect on business results
    • Develop recommendations based on digital data/trends and metrics. 
    • Report to leadership on performance relative to goals and previous periods weekly and monthly.
  • Be the subject matter expert for social and web on the team. 
    • Provide input and rationale on functionality required for the business. 
    • Be aware of the hottest/latest trends and identify best in class examples of other companies’ go-to-market strategies and activities that we can test and incorporate into our planning.  Inform the rest of the team for how to include in their campaigns to enable us to better surprise and delight to capture our audiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required
  • 5-7 years of experience in a social in a B2B environment required
  • 5+ years working with SEO Content required.
  • Experience managing a media program preferred
  • Google Adwords and Analytics certification preferred
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors preferred
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.  Must possess the desire to keep up with digital/online best-practices and market trends.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and project prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail. Flexible in a fast-paced setting. Sense of urgency and strong work ethic a must. Work calmly under multiple deadlines and anticipate the needs of your stakeholders.
  • Resourceful and enthusiastic self-starter who can lead marketing strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment, work with a wide range of stakeholders and drive projects forward from start to finish.
  • Positive attitude and a strong project manager, able to work in an effective manner both collaboratively and independently.
  • Experienced developing high-quality digital media, social and influencer campaigns that achieve measurable results. 
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication across a variety of marketing vehicles that are clear, well-organized, and demonstrates the ability to set individual tasks and execute them daily.
  • Proven ability managing multi-faceted digital programs, with a proven track record in successful strategic planning and execution by proactively pushing new and innovative marketing. 
  • Ability to manage and track to budget within +/-2%
  • Represent the company brand well and help others to do the same.  High levels of tact and diplomacy.
  • Proficient in computer and technology system skills and ability to learn new systems in an easy quick manner (experience with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce, Pardot, Social Media Platforms, web platforms, and other platforms etc.)
