Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally, with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our 9 major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

 

The Life Sciences Division is responsible for growing Wells Fargo’s presence in the Life Sciences subsectors of the Healthcare industry, encompassing BioPharma, Medical Devices, and Healthcare Technology.

 

As an analyst, you will be part of a dynamic and growing group and have experience working with a portfolio manager and relationship managers within the Life Sciences Division. Transaction experience will include working on clients ranging from pre-profit to middle market companies. These companies vary in credit quality and financial structure complexity. The position will provide a broad experience that will support growth in the group for both relationship and portfolio management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 Focus on structuring and executing transactions in partnership with more senior staff with financial/credit analysis.

 

 Assist relationship managers in serving the needs of clients by preparing materials for meetings, coordinating across product partners and helping to source/facilitate prospecting efforts

 

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

 

Required Qualifications

1+ year of account relationship management experience, credit management experience, or a combination of both

 

Desired Qualifications

 

Healthcare industry experience

 Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

 Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

 High level of initiative and accountability

 Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

 Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

 Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

 At least 1-2 years of credit analysis, capital markets or relationship management experience

 Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team

 Experience with Capital IQ, PItchbook, Bloomberg and similar industry tools
