Controls Systems Manager - ENG0038622

The Controls Systems Manager is responsible for Overall Vehicle Controls System Development and Implementation of the Controls Development Plan and Vehicle Software Configuration Management (VeSCoM) Process.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Candidate should have one of the following engineering degrees: BS in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of software/controls experience
  • Strong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems
  • Strong program management experience
  • Knowledge of serial data communications
  • Distributed control system feature development
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of relevant technologies (eg. EPS, Infotainment, Active Safety, CyberSecurity, AUTOSAR, Electrification Controls)
  • Knowledge of hardware and software interfaces
  • Understanding of verification and validation processes
  • Experience or knowledge of relevant tools (eg: Matlab, Simulink, Vector, CANalyzer, Neovi)
  • Proactive / results driven individual with high levels of initiative
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments independently with a high accountability for results
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business associates
  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
  • Demonstrated self-starter who will flourish in dynamic and fun team work environment preferred
  • Candidate should have one of the following engineering degrees: MS in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of GM architecture and product line timing
  • Knowledge of embedded software development, testing and associated tools
  • Understanding of calibration systems
  • Knowledge of requirements engineering process (FMEA, Preliminary Hazard Analyses)
  • Knowledge of system reliability, safety, monitoring, and diagnostic technologies and processes
  • Understanding of vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition systems
