Content Producer

BabyCenter is seeking a Content Producer who is an exceptional digital generalist, a visual storyteller, a standout with words, a critical thinker, a fount of ideas, a superb story packager, a consummate collaborator, and an organizational dream. The BabyCenter Content Producer role is a great opportunity for a digital-loving creative who's excited to dive into topics that resonate with today's parents and who's eager to execute content – especially video and social content – from idea to launch. This role can be based in either New York City or San Francisco, CA.

  • Develop content ideas based on user behavior, user insights, sales RFPs, or breaking news
  • Develop and test new content programs, including sellable branded video and social series that resonate with the BabyCenter audience
  • Identify and onboard new content creators and ways of executing video, audio, and social programs
  • Manage content production projects from inception to launch, including budget, vendor assignment, oversight of creative vision, scripting and storyboards, casting and location, shoot days, and all post-production work
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners from the social, edit, and product teams to ensure seamless execution across large-scale campaigns
  • Work with digital producers and client marketing team to manage timelines, brand reviews and approvals, and results reporting
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and invoices
  • Evaluate traffic data and success metrics to generate insights that inform content ideas and planning
  • Continuously test and learn to optimize content offerings
  • Develop and maintain branded content best practices guide and FAQs

  • 5+ years of experience at a digital agency, publisher, or production company working with clients to activate content programs
  • Expertise in the digital video pre- and post-production process
  • Exceptional understanding of cross-channel content programs, including social, video, etc.
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work independently and reliably meet deadlines
  • Deep understanding of social and digital content channels and best practices
  • Knowledge of pregnancy, health, and parenting subject matter
  • Passion for the changing face of digital storytelling, digital marketing/advertising, and the role played by content
