The Nielsen Games team is uniquely positioned to consult with clients via primary consumer research and audience measurement for the video game industry. We strive to provide companies with insights and intelligence to help drive more effective decision making.

 

Objective

 

To support and manage a team accountable for developing trusted advisor relationships with clients, to grow the Nielsen Games business with new and existing client businesses; manage marketing research studies, meeting design specifications and client business objectives, reviewing client forecasts, reports, and presentations, while fostering positive client and team relationships.  

 

Accountabilities         

Project Lead:

  • Oversees all aspects of project from design to report and provides insightful conclusions and recommendations, with minimal supervision
  • Provides support to the analytical and project management teams to ensure that questionnaire, data set up, project operations and analytics run smoothly
  • Constructs and implements analytical forecasting plan
  • Prepares, reviews and presents study results to clients

    Client Consultant:

  • Designs, develops and continuously improves portfolio of products and services
  • Consults on-going with clients regarding key business questions and needs
  • Consults with clients regarding research designs and general study concerns
  • Prepares designs and estimates costs of research projects
  • Monitors changes in job costs and communicates cost changes to client, as needed
  •  

    Leadership:

  • Collaborates with an analytical team of 5 people in the US
  • Supervises direct reports by answering questions, providing constructive and consistent feedback, and conducting performance appraisals in a timely manner

Requirements

 

Knowledge                 

  • Knowledge of marketing research and in-market data
  • Knowledge and/or passion of/for the video game industry
  • Knowledge of statistics, research techniques, and experimental procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing research or a related field

     

Desired:

  • Experience with game industry is a plus
  • Experience with predictive statistics, analytics and forecasting model
